popis: | Odhadování v malých oblastech se obecně zabývá problémem poskytnutí spolehlivých odhadů jisté charakteristiky v oblastech (geografických, socioekonomických apod.), kde dostupné informace o této charakteristice jsou samy o sobě nedostatečné pro poskytnutí přesného odhadu, např. z důvodu nedostatečného množství dat. Pro získání odhadů v těchto „malých“ oblastech se používají statistické modely, které si takzvaně „půjčují sílu“ ze sousedních nebo jinak souvisejících oblastí. Tyto modely tedy využívají data ze sousedních oblastí, data sbíraná v jiných časových úsecích stejně jako dodatečné informace dostupné např. z posledního sčítání lidu či aktuálních administrativních záznamů. Popis aplikace základních statistických modelů na odhadování v malých oblastech lze nalézt v pracích Rao (2003) a Jiang a Lahiri (2006). V současné době se stále více objevuje poptávka po praktických aplikacích spojených s binárními, případně obecněji diskrétními daty, jako např. studium míry nezaměstnanosti nebo chudoby v různých regionech, případně popis šíření nemocí. V tomto případě lze klasické lineární modely založené na předpokladu normality reziduí uplatnit jen velmi omezeně. Možností, která přichází do úvahy, je aplikace zobecněných lineárních modelů (ZLM), např. logistického, poissonovského apod., na diskrétní data a odvození tzv. nejlepších empirických prediktorů (EBP) navržených poprvé v práci Jiang et al. (2001). Náplní disertační práce by byl návrh vhodného modelu umožňujícího zahrnutí časových případně prostorových závislostí a teoretické odvození metod pro odhad charakteristik malých oblastí na základě navrženého modelu. Součástí práce by byla i implementace odvozených metod a jejich otestování na simulovaných a reálných datech. |
