description: In signal processing one often encounters the situation where several independent source signals are mixed. Only the mixtures are can be measured. Signal separation aims at recovering the original signals from the mixed signals. In statistical terms this is referred to as independent component analysis, since the demixing is achieved by making the signals independent again. Our goal will be to develop a statistical method, to test it on some well-defined examples, and to apply it to medical data. This work includes some programming since we are dealing with data.
