| description: | The Classical Nucleation Theory (CNT) with emphasis on multicomponent homogeneous gas-to-liquid nucleation processes is discussed in detail . The CNT is developed from scratch. A proper derivation of the nucleation work is performed. Several variants of the nucleation work formula, which differ in the way the vapor-liquid equilibrium is accounted for, are present. The possibility to characterize the vapor-liquid equilibrium with the saturation pressure, or the Henry constant, or the partitioning constant substantially broaden the number of mixtures that can be studied, e.g. aqueous electrolytes. |
